PokerStars's Jorge "Twin" Arias Tournament

El pasado domingo 1 de agosto unos jugadores venezolanos organizaron un torneo en PokerStars con mi nombre. Fue una experiencia increíble, en un principio no esperábamos más de 200 personas, al final se terminaron inscribiendo 758.

Sólo con una semana para organizarlo, el torneo fue un éxito. Comenzó a las 2:30pm y duro unas 7 horas. Entre los jugadores invité a varios amigos Pro que participaron, entre ellos estaban: Chris Moneymajek, Jennicide, Greg Raymer, Veronica Dabul, ninguno ganó jajaja. Lo hice más interesante poniendo bounties en esos jugadores, me costó dinero peeeero fue super divertido.

La mesa final quedo así:

Finalmente el ganador fué greenislandd. Pero todos pasamos un rato increíble a pesar de ser un $1.10 Tounament. Espero que se pueda volver a organizar otro pronto y tener más inscritos.

Past August 1th some venezuelan PokerStars players organized a tournament with my name. It was a awesome experience, I didn't expect more than 200 people, at the end there were 758 players.

I just had a week to do everything that needed to be done, but it was a succes. It began at 2:30pm and last about 7hours. I invited some of my Pro friends, among the ones who played were: Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, Jennicide and Veronica Dabul, they didn't win, neither did I... lol. But I tried to make it more interesting by offering bountys on those players. I cost me money but it was worth every penny we had such a great time.

Finally greenislandd won the tournament, but we all had and amazing time despite it was a $1.10 tourney. I hope we can organize another one sometime soon and have more people playing it.

FLORIANOPOLIS LAPT 2010

Entre mesas, fichas y cartas empezó el LAPT en Florianópolis. Comenzamos 450 jugadores, un torneo prometedor. Eramos varios del Team PokerStars, todos dispuestos a llegar hasta el final. Comenzó el día 1 y promedié unos 20k, una mesa no tan complicada pero con pocas manos. Terminé el jueves con 22k. El día siguiente al final del nivel 4 había subido un poco, a 30k y quedaban 108 jugadores poco después me movieron a la mesa televisada. En un momento quedé con 17k y en una sesión logré remontar a 150k. Terminé ese día con 120k en el stack. El viernes empezo. ya quedábamos menos de 50 jugadores, el chipleader estaba alrededor de 500k. En el puesto 24 sali con A9 vs 88, mesa Q98 A T.

Between tables, chips and cards the Florianopolis LAPT started. There 450 of us playing, a promising tournament. A few PokerStars Team were on the tables, everyone of us willing to get to the final table. Day one started, I managed to keep a 20k stack during it. Not a complicated table, but just few good hands. Finish thursday with 22k. Next day I ended Level 4 with just 30k and 108 players left. Just minutes after that I was moved to the ESPN Table. At some point I was just 17k left, went all the way to 150k in one level. Finished that day with 120k. Friday started, we were less than 5o players left, chipleader had arund 500k. I got out on 24th place. A-9 vs 8-8. Table Q98AT.
